Hot on the heels of a deal I posted this morning for flights from Boston and Baltimore to Copenhagen, London, and Reykjavik for $99 each way<\/a>, another sale has launched for flights to Helsinki, Finland, from a number of cities, including Charlotte, for as low as $666 roundtrip.  United is attacking American Airlines\/US Airways hubs, which include Phoenix, Dallas, Philadelphia, and Miami, and similar prices can be found from all of those cities.<\/p>\n

The best fares are available in late November, or from late December through late March:<\/p>\n

As you can see above, the best prices are found on Monday-Wednesday departures from the US, but it’s not much higher for leaving on a Thursday or Friday.  It’s relatively rare to find cheap flights from Charlotte to Europe for this low, so this is definitely a fantastic opportunity to jump on.  These types of “hub attacks” typically last for only a day or two, and sometimes only a few hours, so if you’re at all considering this deal, I’d highly recommend booking it under the 24 hour free cancellation policy outlined below.<\/p>\n

You can use ITA Matrix<\/a> or Kayak<\/a> to perform flexible date searches, and then you can book directly on United’s<\/a> website.  When you book directly with the airline, you have up to 24 hours to cancel for a full refund, so when it comes to deals like this, if you even think<\/em><\/strong> you might want to take advantage of this sale, it’s in your best interest to go ahead and book now.  Then, you can finalize you’re thinking and planning within 24 hours…you’ll lock in the price by booking now, but in 24 hours when you’re ready to book, the fare might be gone and then you’re out of luck!<\/p>\n
