When flying, you know that if your incoming plane is delayed, your flight won’t be leaving on time. How can you check this? Simply visit www.flightaware.com to check your flight’s status, and look for the “Track Inbound Flight” link, which will show you the status of your incoming plane. In this example, the inbound plane for American Flight 495 from Miami to Aruba is coming from Toronto (American Flight 1409). Checking your incoming plane status can keep you ahead of the game, often allowing you to proactively contact the airline to get rerouted when delays are imminent.

Here’s a tip…almost every (domestic) flight deal posted is valid in both directions.  In other words, yesterday’s “Boston to Las Vegas” deal could be booked either: – Departing Boston, flying to Las Vegas, and returning to Boston OR – Departing Las Vegas, flying to Boston, and returning to Las Vegas Keep that in mind anytime you see a deal posted…although note that this is typically only true for Domestic fares, not International fares.
