Every hotel chain these days has a loyalty program where you can earn points towards free nights, just like airline points for free flights. There are lots of debates and evaluation of the various programs, like Hyatt, Hilton, Marriott, Starwood, Choice Hotels, etc. One hotel chain, Intercontinental Hotels – which includes Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, Candlewood Suites, and Intercontinental Resorts – has a special program that they call “PointBreaks,” where they release a list of hotels that are offered at a discounted rate.
